The vortex of DOOM! The Hudson River is a mighty river when you're as far south as Rockland county. But in Tahawus, the Hudson could be confused for a stream. At one point, the entire river is diverted under a gravel road through two culvert pipes. This creates a slight "bathtub" effect, leading to the drain vortex that you're seeing!
