The main kitchen still looks to be in decent shape. It should be, since it was the last building to be renovated. But the roof always makes an unsettling noise as air pressure causes it to ever so slightly rise and fall. (From The Pines Hotel 2005)

This room, the "dining room" in the previous shot, which had the dining table covered in junk in it, has clearly been rearranged. My speculation is that throughout this visit it looks as if someone raided this house looking for cash. Virtually no stone was left unturned. Granted, this house was messy enough that there were still some unchecked spots, but for the most part it certainly appears that there was a deliberate effort to cover as much area as possible. Hopefully there was not really an asbestos hazard here, and the owner or contractor put it up to deter people. In the next photo, note that the entire building is exposed to air besides a very small portion with this tape. If there was really an asbestos hazard, the operation was completely haphazard.
